For the active, sports-minded vacationers, Acapulco has first-rate facilities. Golf and tennis are superb, as are conditions for watersports.

Golf
Acapulco offers four 18 hole courses - all near the airport, and one 9-hole course located next to the Acapulco Convention Center.

Tennis
Acapulco has over 5 tennis clubs, all easy to find. Most hotels allow non-guests ro play, for a fee. Rates vary by property.

Fishing
Sportfishing is available through private comapnies and most hotels, with the charters leaving from downtown dock across from the zocalo. Catches in the area include sailfish, marlin, and dorado. There is also good fresh water fishing at Tres Palos Lagoon and Coyuca Lagoon.

Parasailing
Parasailing was invented in Acapulco, and promises a thrilling view of the bay. Many places along the beach will offer rides. You'll also find rentals for jet skis, catamarans, and even windsurfing in the same spots.

Diving/Snorkeling
There a few dive operations than can take you on dive trips around the bay and outside in the Pacific. Snorkeling is popular around Caleta and Caletilla beaches, and off Roqueta Island. The best sites are El Ripio, Las Palmas, and Bahia de Yerbabuena beaches on the island.
