Aper Tours Photography Workshop - Chiapas, Mexico

Apertours is an unique opportunity to study photography in a small group, in beautiful and provocative settings, and with an instructor who has over 25 years experience teaching groups of all ages and experience. The courses are held in San Cristobal, Chiapas, Mexico; Mexico's hidden paradise. The class size is limited to five students to allow direct exchange with the instructor, Cisco Dietz, and the ability to share ideas with students in an intimate and creative environment. The classes are centered around the colonial home SOL y LUNA of Cisco, where students will eat their meals and work in the fully equipped B/W darkroom. Two students will live at Casa Sol y Luna, while the others will live in comfortable quarters a few minutes away from Sol y Luna. Classes are conducted mainly in the field, with trips to explore the peoples, churches, markets and back streets of San Cristobal. Field trips to the indigenous villages, Chamula and Zinacantan and others that surround San Cristobal and a over night field trip to one of several possibilities, including, Comitan and the ruins of Tenam Puente and Chinkultik or to the Ocosingo Valley and the ruins of Tonina and Rancho Esmeralda, a macadamia plantation, where we spend the night.
