Guadua is the name of our restaurant-bar and beach
club. Located in front of the beach in Brisas de Zicatela, near La Punta in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. The
name comes from the type of ligneous bamboo (The third biggest worldwide) used for construction for it's great
resistance from natural disasters, it's flexibility, strength and it's great size. In the world there are more than
1,000 species, 500 of them in America.
Get to know the delicious fusion food prepared by our chef Ricardo Morales, who combines the best regional
ingredients (fish, shellfish, herbs and spices, fruit and vegetables) with the most exotic Asian and European
recipes. All of this under impeccable quality, cleaning standards and a dietary balance. We suggest you try the rice
paper rolls with shrimp, the seared tuna with teriyaki sauce or the fish ceviche with mango and mint. As dessert we
suggest the chocolate volcano or the white chocolate mousse with almonds.
Enjoy our refreshing beverages and hip cocktails at Guadua's bar while listening to great music and admiring the
beautiful landscape. Our bartender will satisfy your thirst with his exotic cocktails and beverages that mix
fruits, daiquiris, flavoured margaritas and smoothies. If you want to try something traditional, have a beer,
michelada, clamato, vodka, tequila, rum, coffee or mint mezcal, frozen mojitos, coffee or delightful teas.
At Guadua we have live music and special events during high seasons. Ask our staff for the bands playing and their
musical styles and reserve your table for enjoying a nice dinner while listening to one of our wonderful bands.
Enjoy the sun, the waves, the sea breeze and the paradisical landscape of Zicatela beach. Zicatela is one of the
most recognized beaches amongst surfers and most visited by thousands of mexican and international tourists looking
for a nice time in a relaxed and tranquil environment.
