White Fish: (*Important to notice that now days it is hard to find real good "white fish" because the fish catch is restricted)

Trout: it has become very popular in Patzcuaro

Charales: (small dry fish) extremely typical! Patzcuaran's eat them as an appetizer and make Tacos with them

Corundas: (Triangular tamales) extremely typical!

Churipo: (this dish is very Purepechan and comes from the Purepechan Plateau) a stew with meat and vegetables served with corundas

Tarascan Soup: a type of tomato soup

Uchepos: a type of tamale made with sweet corn

Nieve de Pasta: a traditional ice cream from Patzcuaro
