Fair of Cuernavaca - During the two weeks they have a commercial and popular fair where you as a tourist can find handcrafts, musical concerts, mechanical rides, and of course enjoy the delicious traditional "Morelense" food.

During September-October
Fair of the Pottery(Feria de las Ceramicas)- This is a fair where the community of "Tres de Mayo" presents their handcrafts and artistic pottery. People can appreciate the art of the mexican pottery at large in this traditional fair of Cuernavaca.

September 8
Challenge to The Tepozteco - The whole town gathers to celebrate by presenting a theatrical representation of the Evangelization. The celebration is a procession where they remember the history of Tepoztlan and how their ancestors celebrated religion. The theme of the celebration might be religious, but mostly; the people and tourists enjoy it for its cultural and traditional aspects. It shows the indigenous roots and history of Tepoztlan.

The Carnaval (starts saturday before lent and ends on Mardi Gras)- Four days before Ash Wednesday starts a very important fiesta for the inhabitants of Tepoztlan; The Carnaval. Colorful and exotic traditions of this picturesque town are displayed in this festivity, like the dance "El brinco del Chinelo", where the dancers go around hopping dressed in velvet tunics and masks.
