Services
The beach at The Inn is nothing short of spectacular. Its fine-grained sand is easy on your bare feet. There are no hidden rocks to
stub your toes on, or slimy seaweed to brush against. When wet, the sand packs firmly so that walking is easy. At low tide the wide
expanse of beach is irresistible for running or strolling.
There are so many things to do at the beach. Swimming, boogie boards, kayaks, sailing, parasailing, volleyball, wave runners,
horseback rides in the sunset, and just playing in the gentle surf is delightful year round. Unlike some resorts, you can really
get out and use our beach.
One of the favorite pastimes of our guests is haggling with the beach vendors along our patio. Every day the beach is full of people
selling anything from jewelry to fishing trips. Many good deals are there to be found.
If you want some adventure, try a fishing trip with one of the local guides. Make your arrangements right here on the beach for deep
sea or bottom fishing. You won't believe how many red snappers, tuna and other delicious types of fish you'll catch. And when you're
done bring your catch back to The Papagayo restaurant where the chef will fix up a feast for you and your group.
For a diversion you can catch the amphibious shuttle to the island, which is about two kilometers away. There you will find a
pristine, secluded beach where you can snorkel, windsurf or go exploring for shells and other interesting things in the tidepools.
The Papagayo restaurant will prepare a box lunch you can to take with you, and drinks are available on the island. See if you can
spot some mantas or dolphins on the way.
Of course, there is golf. The El Cid country club is located almost directly across the street from The Inn. Its 27-hole
championship course is open to the public every day. Nearby is the beautiful 18-hole Estrella del Mar course. Designed by Robert
Trent Jones, it offers spectacular scenery along the beach of Stone Island.
