La Calle is a Spanish school for foreign adults. La Calle is located in the historic center of Merida, Yucatan. We are ideally located, close to restaurants and tourist attractions. The surroundings of Merida are worthy of interest: Mayan pyramids, haciendas, typical villages, cenotes. Merida and the Yucatan are safe places in Mexico that will leave you with unforgettable memories.
The Teaching Method :
Our method is communicative and we prepare programs adapted to the level, strengths, weaknesses and objectives of the students.
The aim is to help them to be able to communicate in any situation of everyday life and be able to express any kind of opinion or idea
We only work with adults, with small groups, the classes are only in Spanish and we provide all the material.
We also use written exercises and homework, but most of the exercises are to improve expression and oral comprehension.
We offer several types of courses:
Intensive classes – 20 hours per week.
Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm (with a 20 minutes break).
The groups are from 2 to 7 students.
The price per week is 3700 pesos.
Semi – Intensive classes – 10 hours per week.
Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day.
The groups are from 2 to 7 students.
The price per week is 2200 pesos.
Private lessons (one to one)
You choose your schedule and you pay per class.
370 pesos per hour
Lessons are in the afternoon between 2h30pm and 6h30pm
Do your own group
You can create your own group with your friends and choose your schedule if you have the same level.
The classes are at school between 2:30pm and 6pm.
The price per hour and per student is 280 pesos.
2 DAYS PER WEEK formula
2 days per week, 2 hours per class. In the afternoon.
The price is 3500 pesos for 4 weeks per student. The groups are from 2 to 7 students.
Classes Online
We offer also online lessons in group or private. More info in our website.
Homestay
If you choose the homestay, you can live and practice at some time of the day with your host.
The price for 7 nights is 2800 pesos with fan or 3150 pesos with A/C for one person
The price for 7 nights is 3800 pesos with fan or 4150 pesos with A/C for a couple sharing one bed.
Meals are not included. You can use the kitchen.
Homestays can be 10 min (taxi/uber, not expensive), 13min (bicycle), 40 min (walking distance) from school.
Only applies for intensive classes or if you take minimum 15 hours of privated lessons per week.
