San Felipe has long been famous as a camping and RV oasis. With miles of beaches north and south of town, you'll have over 50 "campos" and RV parks to choose. There are also in-town camps and RV parks. The "snowbirds" (usually retired senior citizens) arrive in November and usually stay through March/April taking advantage of San Felipe's great climate.
San Felipe isn't only for the camper. The town also offers resorts and hotels with pools and restaurants. There are many private vacation rentals available, plus some residents are willing to rent rooms out of there homes for extended stays. Whatever your desire for lodging, you'll find it in San Felipe.
Hotels & Resorts
Hotels and resorts line beaches of San Felipe, each with
a unique style. All with a full array of services - air conditioned rooms
with TV, telephone, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and some with room
service. Some with spas and tennis courts.
Motels & Economy Lodgings
The town is ready for the visitor who drives and possess' many economical motels and even a few rooms to rent. The difference between some motels & some of the hotels is minimal, but for those of you wanting to save a buck, then these motels are for you.
Vacation Rentals - Another Alternative
More and more vacation rentals are becoming available. Private homes and villas can be rented daily (there may be a minimum),
weekly or monthly. They may include maid service. Many of these hideaway homes are also beachfront, most are found to the south of downtown.
RV & Camping
San Felipe is an RVers paradise. Choose from beachfront lots from 10 miles north of town to 30 miles south of town. You'll also find RV campgrounds within town. Some campgrounds have spots for tenters also and a few have open air cabanas to sleep in. From the simplest of sites to fully motorhome ready lots, the choice is yours with over 60 sites to choose from for a vacation you won't forget.
Helpful Hints
Most hotels and resorts accept credit cards readily. On the other hand, the smaller and economy oriented ones may not.
The tap water in most hotels and resorts is not purified and drinkable. It is wise to clarify this at the time of your check-in. Most lodgings will have drinking water available in the rooms.
